現在活躍する Mårten Lange のMachina (2007) をすぐに連想するが、Wolfgang Sievers の写真には万能な工業へのロマンチックな期待とフェチズムがみられ、20世紀らしい写真。21世紀を生きる我々にとって工業はどんな付き合いをしている相手だろうか。
