カナダの写真家 Lynne Cohen が今年の五月に亡くなっている。主な作品としてリビングや公共の場所、軍事施設などの室内を8X10の大型カメラで撮影したものが有名だ。たとえば”実験室”と聞いたときに想像する様子はさまざまな形を撮るが撮影され並置されたものを見ると、その現実の形の様子を改めてみると、美学的な意図をされないものの形態のありようがいかに面白いことに気づかされる。彼女が元々彫刻家であったことによる関心によって、これらの作品が残された。
